In January 2023, Loomis Sayles & Company signed a new five-year agreement for T-SCAPE’s corporate actions solution, iActs®, continuing a relationship that began with the initial implementation of the platform in 2016.

The original deployment was designed to augment an incumbent system while enabling front-office users, including traders and portfolio managers, to interact more directly with corporate action workflows.

The success of that implementation ultimately led to broader adoption of iActs® across the organisation and the retirement of the previous legacy platform.

As assets under management and operational volumes increased, the platform continued to evolve alongside the organisation’s changing requirements. More than 100 geographically dispersed front-office users and a specialist corporate actions operations team were interacting with iActs® daily, with the front office taking responsibility for elections while operations managed the end-to-end process lifecycle.

The relationship also evolved beyond workflow management into deeper operational integration. Attention turned toward the automated ingestion of calculated entitlements into internal accounting systems, helping further reduce manual processing, strengthen auditability and improve operational completeness.

Importantly, the same orchestration capabilities were also being explored for compliance-driven use cases, demonstrating how workflow infrastructure originally developed for corporate actions processing could support wider governance and control objectives across the organisation.

The engagement highlighted several themes that continue to underpin T-SCAPE’s broader platform philosophy:

  • front-to-back workflow orchestration

  • operational transparency

  • scalable integration

  • governance control

  • and adaptability across evolving business requirements

The announcement also marked an important point in the evolution toward iActs® v3, reflecting T-SCAPE’s broader ambition to extend orchestration capabilities beyond traditional corporate actions processing into wider financial market-event workflows.
